TikTok Partners with Amazon for in-app Purchases

TikTok and Amazon have announced that they will be partnering up this week, allowing users to make purchases without leaving the TikTok app. Customers will now be able to see Amazon product recommendations on their ‘For You’ page. When a customer wants to make a purchase, they can choose to link their TikTok account to their Amazon account through a secure, quick, and easy one-time set-up, and begin to shop without having to leave the platform.

This is huge for eCommerce businesses as it gives new opportunities to sell and promote products via TikTok and gives customers the chance to use their Prime eligibility for purchases (encouraging more customers to make a purchase).

 

How does it work?

The process to shop will be totally simple and user-friendly for all customers. Amazon recommendations will appear on users FYP, and if the user decides to make a purchase, they can do so without leaving the TikTok app. All users need to do is link their TikTok account to their Amazon account through a really easy set up.

Once linked, users seamlessly make purchases and this experience includes viewing real-time pricing, using prime where eligible, delivery estimates, and detailed product information—all whilst still being on the TikTok app.
